In addition to the fact that the diplomacy of Romulus and Numa included not only the exchange of ambassadors, but also the fact that the chiefs of the foreign tribes were informed of the word of the king. The diplomatic forms established by Romulus as a form of equality of arms were a special event. His diplomacy manifested itself in the conduct of negotiations with ambassadors of foreign tribes, which forced the other side to negotiate on the principle of equality. For him, diplomacy was a crucial factor, as it depended on how successful he would be in relations with foreign or neighboring tribes. Numa paid special attention to practical diplomacy. He introduced and instituted an oath, the breaking or non-fulfillment of which was considered divine wrath and supreme punishment. He always expected favorable positions for the realization and success of diplomatic interests, including reasoning, mutual concessions and, most importantly, the fulfillment of the obligations under the agreement. The main diplomatic methods pursued during the period of Romulus and Numa promoted peaceful relations which in turn established the practice of a combination of diplomatic institutions and discourses which played a crucial role in the understanding of diplomacy and its functional development.   Keywords: Romulus diplomacy; Numa's religious diplomacy; Negotiations; Ambassadors; Oath; UR - http://www.sciencejournals.ge/index.php/HAE/article/view/190
