Abstract

In modern humanities, the linguocultural approach is becoming more important. This approach studies the relationship between language and culture. In this regard, folk tales are important sources of cultural knowledge because they preserve and transmit meanings through language. The language used in these stories is closely connected to culture. Symbols, metaphors, characters, and stereotypical narrative patterns. That show the values of a society.

Italian and Georgian folk traditions are rich and diverse. Although these cultures have developed in different historical, geographical, and social conditions, their tales show both common and different features. These similarities and differences can be clearly seen through comparative linguocultural analysis.

The aim of this study is to analyze Italian and Georgian folk tales from a linguocultural perspective and to compare them. The goal is to show how national mentality and cultural characteristics are reflected in language. The study considers folk tales as cultural texts and focuses on finding linguistic and semantic elements that have cultural meaning.
